Good to hear your Christmas message. Hope you manage to celebrate in some way, I know you must be looking forward to celebrating in style when you finish your epic journey. You are nearly there!! I bumped into your Mum at the butcher’s Laura , I know it will be a a hard Christmas for them but they are sooo looking forward to meeting you in Cairns. Talking of bumps Heather has a fine one, with only three weeks to go the excitement mounts!! She is doing really well now, but rather uncomfortable as you can imagine. They are settling into their new home and i am looking forward to spending Christmas there, with Adam doing the cooking!!! Hoping the weather is set fare and the wind is at your backs helping you to make good progress, I am sure that would be the perfect gift from Santa!!! Lots of love Judi.xxxx

  4. Simon TY says:

To all of you, all six girls, Doris, Eduardo and the whole back up team, Happy Christmas.

I know you had hoped to be on terra firma, but who would not chose to spend it in the Coral Sea !!

I hope you have a day of silliness, laughter, still seas and a Father Christmas following wind and current.

You do not realise it, but you are giving a massive Christmas present to both charities, enormous pride to your families particularly and great pleasure to all of us followers and readers. What you have achieved, are achieving is remarkable and only on future Christmases will you look back and see how extraordinarily resilient, brave, stubborn, inspired, and slightly barking you have been.

Wishing you all a great day, lots of admiration, lots of love, cannot wait to see you all

    Lots of love

    Simon TY

  5. Judie says:

Well done, girlies – we will raise a glass of mulled wine to you at George’s cafe, Highcliffe where they have festive fun every year in aid of cancer charities – and also munch a mince pie for you!

  6. Jim Andrews says:

I am never entirely sure of your time zone, or how long after I have typed these words, you get to read them? I enjoyed your little audio message, and so wish you a pleasant, and joyful Christmas. You will not be enjoying the normal luxuries and excesses of Christmas but you will be in the hearts of those that are. If Doris were powered by the love and admiration of your Families, friends and followers, you would be in Cairns tomorrow. Christmas is nothing without family and I know your respective families will lament your absence, equally you will miss your family on this special day. In a few short weeks you will be reunited with all those who love you and you can make up for those months and special occasions apart. What a great memory you are creating for the rest of your lives. Your Christmas dinner tables of the future will always be a reminder of that special Christmas back in 2015!
You are making good mileage ladies, you will have sub 900 nm to go as we toast your fantastic achievement and wish you happiness health and all you wish for your selves. Merry Christmas from Jim & Geraldine. Stay safe. XX
