Natalie Miles

Media and PR Manager

Age: 31

Hometown: London but grew up in a village near Reading

Job in the “real” world: Film, Sports & Brand Freelance Producer

Past adventures/sporting success: Rowed from the age of 13 and rowed for Wales. Trekked to Everest Base Camp. Worked on a dive boat in Australia. Travelled around India on my own. Completed the 3 Peaks Challenge in under 24hrs. Grade 5 White Water Rafting in Nepal. Lots of skiing! Yoga lover.

Why am I doing the row? I’m doing the row because I want to be part of a life changing adventure, where I’m pushing myself, testing and challenging my abilities as a human being in a non “normal” environment, living in every moment & working together in a team.

What excites me most about the row? Going back to basics, the open sea, learning new skills and setting a few world records along the way!

What am I going to miss the most? Family, friends, chilling to a good film, snuggling under a duvet!

What food will I miss the most? Food is going to be one of the things I’ll miss the most- fresh fruit and veg and a good steak cooked medium rare!

What am I looking forward to the most? Seeing wildlife along the way, fishing and seeing our progression across the Pacific!

An abstract fact about me: I’ve marched in front of the Queen at the opening of the Falkland Islands Memorial Chapel.

My power song on the boat: Waiting All Night- Rudimental.
