The team arrived in Apia, Samoa at 8.40pm UK time on Sunday 1st November.  After 96 days at sea since departing Hawaii, Laura, Emma, Natalia and Lizanne have stepped ashore and are celebrating the end of a long and arduous but highly successful second leg of their Pacific row journey.  More blog updates will follow from Samoa over the next few days while the team resupply Doris and Meg joins them replacing the lovely Lizanne for the final leg to Cairns, Australia.  Thank you so much for your support on the way in to Samoa and throughout.

A change is as good as a rest!

The nature of an expedition of this type is that there will always be changes and challenges around every corner and, true to this, we have news of a development in team structure.  We are pleased to announce that we have Lizanne van Vuuren and Meg Dyos joining the Coxless Crew. Lizanne and Meg were both involved in the last team selection process, were put in place as reserve team members, and we are now very excited to have them onboard.

After making a difficult but understandable decision, Izzy decided that, due to personal reasons, she can only row one leg of the journey. She has the team’s full support and although it is obviously disappointing for her, on a really positive note, it is amazing to know that she will still be able to share the first part of our story and then will be back in the UK continuing to support the expedition.

Lizanne will be rowing the 2nd leg with us from Hawaii to Samoa and then Meg will be joining Doris and us for the last leg from Samoa to Cairns.

Biography updates coming soon.

Let the journey begin…

Kylie backs Coxless Crew for their Pacific row!

We are extremely proud to have the amazing Kylie Minogue as our Patron and thrilled to have her support us in creating awareness of women that have had to fight and overcome adversity. Kylie aligns perfectly with the Coxless Crew ethos and values and she continually empowers women, which is what our expedition is all about. From her own personal experience and self-development from battling breast cancer, Kylie has successfully navigated her own Pacific and we are honoured to have her stories of the inner strength she found during those difficult times to help drive and motivate us. She is as humble as she is awe-inspiring and we are fortunate and excited to have Kylie be part of our journey.

Kylie Minogue:

I am delighted to have become a Patron for the Coxless Crew and to be supporting their incredible expedition that is raising awareness for the women who benefit from the charities they are rowing for. From my own personal experience of having fought and overcome Breast Cancer, I know how difficult it is sometimes to find that necessary inner strength. These four women are going to face unexpected challenges I cannot even begin to imagine out there on the ocean and will have to learn how to overcome them. The passion and dedication that Natalia, Laura, Emma and Isabel have already shown is remarkable and I hope their journey will be as joyous as it will be tough. I wish them all luck and success and I will be following their progress closely. ”
